WNBA DRAFT 2025


The Women's National Basketball Association draft took place on Monday April 14th at 7:30 pm in New York City at The Shed in Hudson. Their were so many fans inside and outside the venue supporting their favorite teams and players. Also The WNBA coaches and players was there supporting as well.

  1. The first pick of the WNBA draft the Dallas Wings selected Paige Bueckers a senior Gaurd from University Of Connecticut. Paige had such a good senior season ending her college career averaging 19 points, 4 rebound and 4 assists a game. She is also A NCAA champion and big east player of the year. Paige reminiscing about here college coaches and teammates. "They mean everything to me, all they've helped me get through, all the ups and downs, the highs and lows, they've seen every side of me, and the love there is unconditional, so forever grateful for them," Bueckers said. Paige will fit right in with the Dallas Wings with her shooting ability.


  1. The Second pick of the WNBA draft the Seattle Storm select Dominique Malonga a center from France. Dominique was a Summer Olympics 5x5 Women's Silver Medalist in 2024. Dominique is going to be really helpful for the storm defense.


  1. The Third Pick of the WNBA draft the Washington Mystics select Sonia Citron Gaurd from Notre Dame. Sonia ended her college career averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists a game.Citron also was First Team All-ACC (2024-25), All-ACC Defensive Team (2024-25) and ACC Tournament champion (2024).


  1. The Fourth pick of the WNBA draft the Washington Mystics select Kiki Iriafen a Forward from University of Southern California. Kiki ended her college season averaging 12 points , 6 rebounds and 1 assists a game. She also finished a First Team All Big Ten (2025) Katrina McClain Award (2024) and the Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year (2024). Kiki iriafen will team up with Sonia Citron at the Mystics.


  1. The Fifth pick of the WNBA draft the Golden State Valkyries select Justė Jocytė a Forward from Lithuania. This is Golden State first pick ever because they are a new team and organization that as been developed over a year so this is the first time they ever been in the draft. Excited to see what this team do this year.


  2. The Sixth pick of the WNBA draft the Washington Mystics select Georgia Amoore a Gaurd from the University Of Kentucky. Georgia ended her college career averaging 15 points , 2 rebounds and 5 assists. she also earned First-team All-SEC (2025), USBWA & AP All-American Second-team (2025) and First-team All-SEC (2025).


  3. The Seventh pick of the WNBA draft the Connecticut Sun select Aneesah Morrow a Forward from Louisiana State University. Aneesah ended her college career averaging 20 points , 12 rebound and 1 assists a game. Aneesah earned First Team All-SEC (2024) and Cheryl Miller Award Finalist (2024). Excited to see her in the WNBA her physicality and three pointers will really help the suns.


  4. The Eleventh pick of the WNBA Draft the Chicago Sky Select Hailey Van Lith a Gaurd from Texas Christian University. Hailey finished her college career averaging 15 points , 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Van lith earned the Big 12 Player of the Year (2025), First Team All Big 12 (2025) and Summer Olympics 3x3 Women's Basketball Bronze Medalist (2024). Hailey will be teammates again with Angel Reese who both played for Louisana State university back in 2023-2024. She's a dawg, man."

    "She turns up the intensity of everyone around her," Van Lith reflected. "So, I'm excited to be in that environment with her again where she can pull more out of me than I think I have." Hailey said.


    The WNBA draft drawed 1.25M views on ESPN which is the second most watched draft in the league. This draft brung in 119% more viewers than 2023 WNBA draft.
