Should Miami Bring Back or Start A New WNBA Franchise?

Over the past years the WNBA has been expaning the league by adding more teams. Just recently the WNBA added Cleveland , Ohio , Detroit , Michigan and Philadelphia. By 2030 their will now be 18 teams in total.

Notice Miami is not on the list. in the early 2000s Miami had a WNBA team called the Miami Sol. The Sol lasted from 2000-2002 and every home game they played their games at the Miami Heat arena.

In the 2000s the Miami Sol was coached by Ron Rothstein and finished sixth place with a record of 15-17. In 2001 the Sol ended the season 20-12 with a trip to the playoffs but lost to New York Liberty. In 2002 the Miami Sol ended that season with a 15-17 record which seems to be their last season. In 2003 The Miami WNBA team was shut down due to low funds. After they shut down the team the WNBA put the Miami players in a dispersal draft. Where they find other teams for the Women to play for since their organization got shut down. Hopefully Miami could bring back or start a new franchise.
